Professionalism and commitment, defines us due to our electrical supplies and projects, among others of United Nations of great importance, Seitsa has clear how to help the environment being more respectful with the treatment of materials and waste.
Therefore, we inform you that last June 10, we received the certificate of Voluntary Cancellation from the United Nations. As partners of the UN Global Compact Spain, we are committed to apply the 10 principles of the Global Compact and to work aligned with the SDGs, in our firm objective to contribute to the environment. We have received our new 150 CER voluntary cancellation certificate, equivalent to offsetting 150 tons of CO₂.
Participating in the Climate Neutral Now Initiative. Where we have received bronze recognition in measurement, and silver in reduction and contribution to mitigating the effects of climate change.
This action is aligned with the SDGs, namely SDG 7 “affordable and clean energy”, SDG 11 “sustainable cities and communities“, SDG 13 “climate action” and SDG 17 “partnerships to achieve the goals“ .
Collaborating in the wind energy project in India“Wind Energy Project in Maharashtra by M7s Shah Promoters & Developers” in compensation for GHG emissions.
We can say that this offset of 150 CERs can be translated into an offset of 150 tons of CO₂.
Take a look at the following examples:
🛩 A round trip by plane from Barcelona to Madrid generates around 0.3 tons of CO₂ per passenger. Thus, 150 tons of CO₂ are equivalent to 500 round trips between Barcelona and Madrid.
⚡An average household emits approximately 5 tons of CO₂ per year from electricity use. Therefore, 150 tons of CO₂ is equivalent to a household’s electricity consumption for 30 years.
🚘An average car emits approximately 2 kg of CO₂ per kilometer driven. Therefore, 150 tons of CO₂ is equivalent to driving about 75,000 km.
We have been a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact since 2010 and a partner since 2012.
